The Green is a delightful 16th century house with a wealth of
exposed beams, inglenook fireplaces and antique furnishings.
It is situated in the middle of the pretty village of Wethersfield
overlooking the village green and church. Wethersfield
is 7 miles from Braintree, conveniently close to Halstead,
Saffron Walden and Sudbury and within easy reach of Cambridge,
Chelmsford and Colchester. Off-Street car parking available at rear

The famously attractive village of Finchingfield is 2 miles away, Towerlands Equestrian Centre is 5 miles, Great Leighs racecourse 10 miles and the Suffolk borders and Stansted Airport are a 25 minute car ride. We maintain a list of local pubs and restaurants within easy reach.

Room 1
Is a double bedroom with twin beds, wash basin set in vanity unit,
chest of drawers, hanging rails, table lamps, television and a hairdryer.
The bedroom is heated by a thermostatically controlled radiator.
An electric blanket is provided together with towels and dressing gowns.

Room 2
Is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom facilities, bedside cabinets and lamps, wardrobe, kneehole desk, two armchairs, television & hairdryer. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and the bedroom is heated by a thermostatically controlled radiator. An electric blanket is provided together with towels and dressing gowns.

There is a guest lounge on the first landing between the bedroomswith tea/coffee making
facilities which looks out on to the picturesque Wethersfield village green

Full English breakfast available, please indicate when booking if special dietary needs are
required. Guests will be served in either the main dining Room with its interesting
antiques and sculptures or the cosy Snug area. We find that during winter months many visitors
enjoy sitting in the Snug near the wood burner fire, whist having their breakfast.

The garden is set to paving with steps to our entrance at the rear of property. This is the only area where smoking is allowed
