The Pump House Apartment


The Apartment is self-contained on two floors. It is approved by the
English Tourism Council - rated 5-star, the highest possible rating.

The accommodation (up to 1500 sq ft - 201 sq metres) has two living rooms, a dining room, a fully fitted kitchen and the choice of one, two or three bedrooms with one, two or three bath/shower rooms (two are en-suite). First floor rooms are air conditioned. Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the apartment.

The Apartment is luxuriously appointed with every needed facility: T.V., Video, Hi-Fi (CD), DVD, Fridge, Freezer, Electric Oven/Hob, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer, Telephone, Trouser Press  - all installed within the Apartment.

In the grounds, and available for the use of guests, there is an open-air swimming pool (heated to 80ºf/27ºc May to September), a spa/hot tub with fully glazed gazebo, summer house, barbecue facilities, garden games and garden furniture.
Parking facilities are within the grounds for 2 cars. Car hire is available from local suppliers, if needed.

For the benefit of other guests no smoking is permitted in the Apartment
and no pets are allowed. Milk and bread etc will be purchased for your
arrival, if requested. All linen and towels are provided.
There is no charge for heating and lighting.

The Apartment, forms part of Pump House, a large house in the country village
of Great Burstead in the county of Essex, England.
The village is close to Billericay, a small country town with strong U.S. connections. London, Canterbury, Cambridge, Colchester and 'Constable Country' can all be reached within the hour by road. There is a fast rail link to Central London (30 minutes).

A regular bus service is available close by. Whilst a car is not essential, it would enhance your enjoyment.
This is a great centre for discovering the history of the East Anglian Region and London, and to see something of the beauty of this rural part of England.

There are many sports available in the area; golf, tennis,
badminton, ten-pin bowling amongst others.
The Apartment is ¾ mile from the nearest store and Post Office.
Billericay, with its wide range of shops and Railway Station is 2 miles.

The Magnolia Room is a pretty room and has twin beds. It is fully air conditioned. The room is furnished with quality Hulsta units. There is ample wardrobe and drawer space for two persons with luggage rack, clothes hangers, hairdryer, personal security safe, attractive ornaments and prints. The main bathroom is nearby, which has a power shower, bath, basin, W.C. and shaving point.

The Gardenia Room has a double bed and overlooks the gardens. It is fully air conditioned and furnished with quality Hulsta units. There is ample wardrobe and drawer space for two persons with luggage rack, clothes hangers, hairdryer, TV, attractive ornaments and original paintings. There is an en-suite shower room, with W. C. and a power shower and shaving point.

The Camellia Room has a king size bed and overlooks the front gardens. It is air conditioned. The room is furnished with quality Hulsta units. There is ample wardrobe and drawer space with luggage rack, clothes hangers, hairdryer, T.V., attractive ornaments and prints. There is a large en suite bathroom with whirlpool AIRbath, shower, W.C., basin and bidet.

Prices from £525 - £1200 per week depending on season and bedroom option.
