We offer a friendly and informal welcome for all our guests at NEWDEGATE HOUSE, a detached house standing in two acres of gardens, with fields beyond.  Spacious comfortable ensuite bedrooms with coordinating furnishings, courtesy trays, tv, radio, hairdryer and fridges.  Guests can relax in the conservatory or summerhouse overlooking the garden.   We offer a full English breakfast, also vegetarian or other choices.   Tray snacks are available in the evening up until 8pm.    We have a non smoking policy in the house.  Children 15+ welcome.

Ideal for exploring this part of Essex.  The medieval market towns of Saffron Walden and Thaxted are just three miles away. And many other pretty villages close by. Audley End House is close by and well worth a visit. Duxford imperial war museum is twenty minutes away, with its magnificent  aviation and ground war museums. The university city of Cambridge is 30 minutes drive with easy access to park and ride facilities. Stansted airport and the M11 are 20 minutes away.  We offer limited parking for those flying out, we can arrange taxis at your request.
