Heath Farm
Sussex
Heath Farm is a small family run working farm producing free range
roasting chickens and lamb and mutton from a flock of Beulah
Speckleface sheep. We have three luxury self-catering cottages to let for holidays.
The cottages have been formed from the conversion of a traditional barn housing a former milking parlour and working horse stables. The Tourist Board have assessed two of the cottages as 4 star. One cottage has an M2 mobility rating and the other is also suitable for persons with limited mobility. The third cottage has not been assessed but is of a similar high standard.
We are situated in very attractive countryside, within sight of the beautiful South Downs, fifteen miles north of Brighton, and within easy reach of London, Gatwick Airport, and the south coast. A holiday in one of our luxury self-catering cottages puts you in a perfect location, rural, yet close to all amenities, places of interest, countryside walks and seaside towns and beaches.
We have three luxury cottages available for rent:
Parlour cottage: has two bedrooms with ensuite facilities, one with double bed,
the other with two singles. A cot is also available.
Stable cottage: has three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single.
The single room also has an extra bed to accommodate
another person if required. A cot is also available.
Rose Cottage: has one bedroom with twin beds and ensuite facilities. A cot is also available.
Parlour and Stable cottages have several french doors opening out onto a shared courtyard equipped with tables and chairs, planting in tubs, and barbeque facilities. Rose Cottage has glazed doors from the living room and bedroom onto a separate courtyard. There is also a separate area of lawn and trees. All cottages have washing machines and there is a tumble dryer if required located in a common utility room accessed from outside.
Children are welcome but we regret we do not accept pets. The cottages are non-smoking throughout.
The farm totals 35 acres. We have a flock of about 30 Speckleface
breeding ewes and these start lambing at the end of March. In the Summer
we make hay on some of our fields and also bale straw from a neighbouring farm.
Visitors are free to walk around the farm but should be aware that children need
to be supervised for their own safety. We may also have some new chicks in
which are usually a favourite with children of all ages.
Our prices for Parlour Cottage range from £405 a week from November to March (except Christmas and New Year), up to £565 a week in July/August. The equivalent prices for Stable Cottage range from £435 to £655 a week, and for Rose Cottage from £250 to £350 a week. Please contact us for prices and availability for specific weeks or short breaks.
The price includes VAT, electricity, heating, bed-linen and towels.
