Bailey Mill is a small, friendly holiday complex which offers you and your
family tailor made holidays to suit all your needs. The complex was originally an
18th century Grain Mill which has been tastefully renovated,making it an ideal holiday
location with excellent, comfortable accommodation with extensive facilities.

Bailey Mill can help you enjoy your stay by providing a unique and memorable holiday experience in this lovely part of the country. You can enjoy these by participating in the many outdoor activities on offer such as horse riding or by using the many walking and mountain bike trails close by.

Why not come and have a riding holiday with us? We can provide you with all the necessary equipment and facilities you will need to enjoy the area on horseback, no matter if you are a novice or an experienced rider. Racing breaks are also popular with our visitors using Bailey Mill to enjoy the Hexham and Kelso races.

The complex is situated in the Scottish borders area which is also known as Border Reiver country. Bailey Mill is a hidden treasure in South Scotland’s beautiful countryside which is just waiting to be discovered by you and you family. Bailey Mill is situated close to Bewcastle where there are the remains of a castle which has the finest example of an Anglo-Saxon cross and Roman fort where 2,000 soldiers were once billeted. If you want a romantic break or accommodation for a large family holiday we can provide the facilities you need. Enjoy a holiday at Bailey Mill in one of our stylishly converted apartments:
The Folly is ideal for large families or groups’ holidaying together as it sleeps up to nine people. The apartment has two family bedrooms and one smaller bedroom. There is also a very spacious lounge/kitchen complete with freezer, a modern bathroom and a shower room.
The Granary can sleep two people in a double bedroom. There is a pleasant split-level
kitchen with a breakfast bar and also, a shower room. It is on the first floor and affords
lovely views over the lawns to the river beyond. The Mill is on the ground floor and can sleep
five people in a double bedroom and bunk room. It as an oak panelled and parquet-floored
lounge with adjacent kitchen. The bathroom has a “sitz” bath, shower and bidet.The Store
sleeps up to six in this double-glazed ground floor apartment, which has a twin and two
double rooms. It has a well appointed kitchen with freezer and a comfortable lounge, also a modern shower room. The Loft is on the first floor and is approached by an external stone stairway. It sleeps five in a double bedroom and an interesting family room in the gallery. The apartment is timber-clad and has a sizeable lounge with an integral kitchen and a bathroom.

Bailey Mill is ideal if you want the flexibility of bed and breakfast. Stay in our modern comfortable accommodation with lots of room and facilities. We can offer you the choice of a quad room, twin, double or single and we can accommodate up to nine people. There are kitchen facilities also available for preparing snacks or an evening meal in addition to our licensed bar and restaurant facilities. You can still enjoy the area and also use our riding packages if you have children or want to enjoy a family day out on the horses.
