Situated in the traditional Highland village of Newtonmore, our hotel provides first class
accommodation and excellent meals, in a very relaxing environment. The hotel is set in an acre of gardens
with ample parking for all guests, but only a few minutes walk from the village. Newtonmore is just south of Aviemore in Inverness shire, and lies within the border of the new Cairngorms National Park.

No other area of the UK offers such a wealth of things to do and see in such fabulous mountain scenery and with activities on offer at all levels of ability. What ever you like to do to offset the day to day stresses and strains of life - touring and sightseeing, walking, skiing, golf, cycling, water sports, pony trekking or maybe just relaxing with a good book - you will return to an excellent meal and a peaceful evening at Alvey House

Our hotel is a traditional, stone built Victorian villa set in an acre of gardens, and while secluded, is just a minute's walk from the centre of Newtonmore. It is large enough to provide you with all of the comforts and service that you expect from a 3 star hotel, but also small enough to retain the atmosphere of a traditional family house. Our aim is to ensure that you feel just as much at home with us as you would in your own home.

The hotel has an elevated position in the village and there are open mountain views all round. When the weather is fine, guests can relax outdoors in the garden. There is also a drying room and an equipment store for your golfing clubs, walking boots, skis etc, plus lockable garage space for cycle storage if required, and with an acre of grounds, there is ample parking on-site for guests' exclusive use.
