The Abcorn is personally run by the owners, Jimmy and Marjorie Kellacher, who assure you of a warm welcome and friendly attention throughout your stay in Edinburgh. The guest house has been awarded STB 3 Stars.

The Guest House is a detached Victorian villa with a private car park, and is set in a quiet and pleasant part of the city, on the A701. Edinburgh city centre is only one mile away and is served by a frequent bus service.

The Guest House has seven bedrooms, all spacious and bright with high ceilings, large windows and en suite bathroom facilities with showers. The rooms also have colour television, tea/coffee making facilities and central heating throughout.

The types of rooms include:
- One very large family room, with a double bed, three single beds and a large
bay window. The room is ideal for a large family or for four adults seeking
separate beds.
- Four rooms which can be used as double, twin or small family rooms
- One double room 
- One single room

All rooms are tastefully furnished and add to the character of this charming house.  A traditional full Scottish breakfast is provided.

Rates are quoted per person per night, and they vary seasonally from £30 in the winter rising to £44 in August and on special occasions. The rates for family rooms will depend on the numbers using the rooms.

The Guest House is on the A701. Edinburgh city centre is only one mile away and the Edinburgh Bypass (A720) is three miles south of the Abcorn.
